I have begun the process of converting our second bedroom into my home studio! How exciting!
The Plan: *Sound-proofing to the best of my ability. This includes a rug on the hardwood floor, cloth/foam tiles to mount on the walls for sound absorption, etc. *Setting up the equipment. Keyboard, mic and all of the necessary cords/accessories necessary for creating demos of my originals/covers. *Purchasing additional equipment. There are some items that will make this studio work efficiently and easy to upload to my website on a daily or weekly basis.
The Completed Aspects: *I have completed the first step of de-cluttering the room so that I am not over stimulated by junk everywhere while I write/record. *I have also located and saved the websites and items that I will be purchasing to add to the studio. *I have installed the first two sound-absorbing items - an area rug that covers the majority of the floor, and a comforter hung in front of the doorway to block sounds from entering or exiting the studio space. *The beginning stages of securing my company name so that I may have a unified business title for my productions as well as services.
